I’m going to cook some chickpeas, they have been soaking since this afternoon, hopefully six hours of soaking is long enough.

And another recipe with chickpeas which claims you can soak them in six hours. Or use the quick soak method:

“(Alternatively, use the quick-soak method: Place beans in a large pot with enough water to cover by 2 inches. Bring to a boil over high heat. Remove from heat and let stand for 1 hour.) Drain when ready to use.”

Actually, I think I’m going to make this since I have squash and lentils and it sounds tasty.

But I don’t have six hours to cook this… And I am hungry now. Good thing I decided to soak chickpeas earlier today. I’m probably going to cook the lentils and squash and mix it all up in a pot instead of using the ‘slow cooker’ method they explain in the recipe.
